Hello again. It feels good to be back writing again. I realize I haven't written in a while, over like a month and a half now, and I'm extremely sorry to my blog fan club. I've just been so busy lately with school, and theatre, and friends, and everything else I have going on in my life right now, it's been crazy. I'm exhausted. I really am, I mean, sometimes I'll come home from something that I really wanna write about, but I'm so tired that I just crash. Oh well, it happens. Now don't get me wrong, things are going pretty well in my life right now. Nothing majorly wrong, nothing that isn't potentially fixable at least. Sure I've been busy, but I think I'm one of those people that isn't TRULY happy unless I'm totally stressed out with no downtime whatsoever. I love being busy. I love having places to go and people to see, I feel accomplished I think. It's cool. Life's pretty cool.
Conclusion: I'm really lucky to have the friends I have, because without them, I would probably be on some kind of anti-depressent right now. Seriously, if it weren't for these awesome people that I spend all of my time with, I'd be lost. Thanks guys, much love.
So anyway, back to my life that you've been missing out on... haha. School's going ok. Right now my schedule's kinda difficult. Social Studies is pretty cool. It's super easy and Sherry's alright I suppose. I really didn't like her at all at first, I thought she was a pretty lousy teacher, but now I kinda like her. I've found I'm like that with a lot of people.
Conclusion: I need to work on not judging people right away. But yea, the class is easy except she gives us lots of projects. I despise projects. I usually do pretty well on them though, cuz I'm a pretty creative person, but I'm also really lazy and don't have the time or effort. Right now we're working on a project for the election where she made up a whole campaign and Terry Traster from our class is going to be pretending he's Kerry and Brad Aiken from second period is pretending he's Bush and they're going to have a debate in front of both classes and go around and give speeches to lots of other social studies classes. Then Sherry split the rest of the class up into groups like "campaign managers" and "media" and "reporters" and stuff and I'm in the media with Amber, Eileen, and Stephanie. We have to make a news show and report stuff on the speeches and debates which is cool cuz Mr. Lowrie is gonna help us and we're gonna use the Steele News Live set and everything. I'm excited, it should be fun. As long as it doesn't get too stressful. We also have to write a paper about the media's role in the election which really sucks because right now I'm working on some kind of paper in every one of my classes. I just have so much going on.
In English, Mrs. Moluse is awesome. I love the lady to bits, however I really don't care for her class. Maybe it's just the kids in my class, but I really can't stand it. It's so boring. She just stands up there and talks at us and it's horrible. I'm not doing all that well in that class either which my mom isn't very happy about because I took AP English last year and got a B and now I'm pulling like a C in Advanced English this year, which is a step lower. I guess I could be putting more effort in, but like I keep saying, I'm so tired, I just don't have the energy. We're working on writing a research paper which is due in a couple weeks and she gave us topics to choose from. I think I'm going to write on abortion just because I really don't understand any of the other topics she gave us. On a side note- I was really mad yesterday because the night before I was supposed to read this story for English but layed down to read it and fell asleep. But I figured that it wasn't a big deal because we usually just go over it in class. Well, just my luck I get to class and she gives us this project to do were we have to map out the story piece by piece in drawings and of course I didn't read it so I have no clue what I'm doing. Figures. That's kinda how English has been for me. However I did do really well on the independent reading assignment. I read the Da Vinci Code (really good book... I totally recommend it!) and I got a 101/100 on the paper which is the best I've done on anything in that class. I don't think I'd ever even gotten a perfect on a vocab test or anything. I'm just doing really bad. Hopefully the independent reading will bring my grade up though.
Then there's choir, which is the same as usual. I'm in Women's Chorus for the second year in a row which really sucks because I know I'm better than most of those girls, I just don't like singing in front of people so I didn't get into Concert because I just don't stand out.
Conclusion: Work on standing out of the crowd. I really don't care for choir much this year, so I think if I don't make Concert next year, I'm just gonna quit and maybe get early release or something. After choir I have TV which is turning out to be a really awesome class. I'm renewing a lot of old friendships I've had with people like Monica, Jill, Lindsay, Jenny, John, and Alison, and making new firends with a lot of the other kids. Tim cracks me up, and so does Mitch and Shields. I really love that class. I'm so glad I decided to take it. To any sophomores- I totally recommend trying out for it. It's definitely well worth it and I can introduce you to Lowrie so you can get to know him and stuff- I'll give you the hook ups ;) So anyway- TV's great. This week we did absolutely nothing, just kind of sat around and talked all week cuz the senior class was working on the election show all week. It was great- good times, good times. I did my first speech on Theatre last week and it turned out really good. I got a 57/ 60 on it cuz my video clip was a little too long. But that was pretty good for my first speech. Now I already have a second speech to do that's due next week Friday. It's another informative speech so I need a topic. I was thinking about doing Carly Patterson- the Olympic gold medalist gymnast- since I saw her perform and got her autograph when I went with Tony to the Tour of Champions at Gund Arena last Thursday. If you think that's a good idea or have any other good ideas- lemme know. I could use the help. Speaking of Tony, he now has the nickname of "Weekend Story" because he's in all of my weekend stories every Monday in TV class. We tell them every Monday. Now my whole class thinks we're dating, along with like all my other friends plus my parents because I spend so much time with him. However, let me say, I'M NOT DATING TONY... I SWEAR! That's all I have to say about that.
So besides everything that's going on with school, I have theatre every night. It's going pretty well, espcially since golf is over (thank god) and I don't have to worry about 2 activities after school. I'm crewheading props for the show, and we really haven't gotten much yet, which isn't good considering the show is in like 4 weeks. But Mihok and I are working on it. We had our first crew meeting on Thursday and I sent out like 40 letters and only had like 10 people show up. Oh well, I really don't need THAT big of a crew anyway. The show is "Rumors" and it's hilarious and everyone should come and see it. I'll let you know when it is, I don't feel like looking it up right now.
Now you probably have a pretty good idea of how busy my life has been lately. It's been crazy, but I love it. I wouldn't change a thing. I've been going to the football games every Friday night, we're still undefeated... and I really hope we beat Avon Lake cuz we haven't beaten them for like 37 years or something. I've also been hanging out with friends a lot, especially my "Joseph" friends. However, I would like to say that I miss my golf girls terribly and I feel really bad cuz I haven't hung out with them in a long time. I was supposed to go to Becky's house tonight before the game but I fell asleep when I got home from school. I got to see Katie Osko tonight, which was exciting. (In case you didn't know, Katie Osko is one of my best friends who moved to Nevada after 8th grade.) I've been seeing lots of people that went away lately. I saw Dana today too, that was exciting because I didn't expect to see her at all. Ashley came home last weekend, Ian was home, I saw Melick, and Cerny. I love my college friends and I miss them so much. And of course I'm still missing Alison like crazy. I got an email from her the other day and I saw her family at one of the football games. I really need to go visit them soon, I miss them and I've been informed that they miss me as well. Alright, well after a long night of standing in the rain at the football game and spending like 4 hours at Blue Sky, I'm really tired and it's time to go to bed. I think I might be going to Cedar Point tomorrow with Jake, Mandi, and Mihok. I hope we go, that should be fun. I'm going to sleep, I'm so excited to sleep in tomorrow.. I haven't done that in forever. As always- I wish everyone the sweetest of dreams. Comment please.
Random Confession: I never wear socks to bed.
