So, what has been going on in the life of miller you ask? Well, I'll tell you. It's now Christmas Break and so far, it's not been all that great. I mean, I guess if I had the choice of either being in school or staying home all day, I'd definitely choose staying home because I'm absolutley LOVING the extra sleep, but I guess you could say I've just been kinda... bored. Other than this past weekend, I really havent done much. Let's see... well on Friday I did this Santa/Elf thing with Mandi and Alexis. Its this thing they do every year in Apple Orchard where parents pay money for "Santa" to come visit their house for like 20 minutes on a scheduled night and "Santa" and his "Elves" talk to the kids, sing carols with them, and sometimes give them presents and eat cookies. Well the theatre company participates in this every year and on Friday night, Alexis was Santa and Mandi and I were elves. And let me tell ya... I really didn't wanna do it at first. Like I was really nervous that I was gonna screw something up or something and ruin Christmas for these kids. (Cuz most of them really do believe that we're the real thing) Well it turned out to be so much fun. Mandi, Alexis, and I had a blast and most of the kids were really cute and were really fun. All except this one family who didn't really seem to care much and even asked us why Santa was a girl.. that was interesting. (However Alexis, you did do a really awesome job as Santa I must say. Good job girl!) Other than that one family, everything else went great. After we were done, the three of us went back to Mandi's house and ordered pizza cuz we were starving. We ended up staying at Mandi's for a while and just talking around the table and it was really nice because I don't get to have cool conversations with Alexis and Mandi all the time and it was fun. I really do love those girls.
Well after a pretty fun night on Friday, I woke up early on Saturday to start to get ready for Winter Formal which was on Saturday night. I told my mom to wake me up at 10 because I had to shower and everything before my hair appt. at 1230. However, I ended up waking up at like 830 for some reason and couldn't fall back asleep. So I hung around the house and then went to my appt. at Studio 8 around 1130 so I could have time to look at some pictures of how I wanted my hair done. Well she ended up taking me back early, and it's a good thing she did that too, because my hair took 2 HOURS to do. It was crazy. But it was amazing. I LOVED it. I had it halfup/halfdown and super curly with silver clips on little twisty things in the front and it was so cool. I think thats the only thing I really loved about that night was my hair. Don't get me wrong, I had a really good time and I'm really glad I went and everything, but it definitely didn't top the last two years. I don't know if it was because I didn't have a date and just went with a group, or because I wasn't in the right mood... I dunno. Oh well, its not a big deal. My group met at Rania's for pictures and then went to Mandi's and then went to Bennigans for dinner. Then we went to the dance where I spent the whole night going back and forth between my two groups of friends, which wasn't too bad, I think I balanced my time pretty well. Afterwards I was supposed to have a bunch of theatre girls sleep at my house but only Katie B, Rania, Amber, and Mihok ended up coming. Thats ok though, we still had fun. Katie, Mihok, and I stayed up til literally 4 am and played Mall Madness and Trivial Pursuit with DVDS and made smores. It was great. I love my theatre girls!
So that was my Winter Formal night '04. Overall, not too bad, but not AMAZING either. Oh well, it happens. So anyway on Sunday I just stayed home and slept all day and then went to the Theatre Christmas Party at Melissa's house. That was pretty great. I really love just hanging out with a bunch of theatre kids. Conclusion: Sometimes, all you need are warm fires, good movies, and great friends to make you feel better. More people than expected showed up and I was real glad. I absolutely LOVE theatre kids. They make me smile. And I was super excited to see people like Shane show up because I rarely ever get to see him anymore and I love him to death and I miss him. That turned out to be a pretty great night.
So that was my weekend. I feel like I just got done telling a weekend story in TV class... that was weird. Anyway, other than that, my break has been pretty boring. Tony brought over Lord of the Rings on Monday and I watched that, which turned out to be pretty good except I thought the ending was terrible. Tuesday I went to the mall with Mihok and Anthony and then went to Mihoks and played pool. Wednesday it snowed really hard, but I managed to mail Alison's Christmas present to Australia and then finish my Christmas shopping. And Thursday, today, Tony was supposed to bring over the second Lord of the Rings but he didn't and I was kinda dissapointed but I had a night out with half my theatre girls (cuz the other half were snowed in and couldn't come) and we did our secret santa. Oh yea, and before I forget, I also went to Ryan Lynch's dad's funeral tonight. I feel so bad for him and his family. His dad just died of cancer 3 days before Christmas. I really like that kid, he's really nice and I could tell he was really happy we came. Please pray for him, he really needs it. Anyway, after the funeral showing we went to Katies house and everyone exchanged a gag/crappy present and a nice present. I ended up getting both of Melissa's presents which were a light-up ring for my gag present and a bunch of little lotions from Victoria's Secret for my nice present. It was so much fun. Then we ate chili dip and played Clue FX (a new version of Clue which I highly recommend... tons of fun) and it was a great night. I needed it. Thanks girls.. I love ya!
Wow, so I just realized it's not 2 08 am and I'm still not very tired.. what's wrong with me? I also just realized that this entry has been super long and that's kind of exciting. I really didn't expect it to get this long. Let me just think of some last minute updates to share and then I promise I'll stop and try to sleep for tonight. Hmmm... well Mike and I finally casted our show for the One Acts. (Well, for the most part... we still don't have one major part casted, which kind of upsets me.. but oh well) And I'm so extremely happy with my cast, we pretty much got everyone we wanted for the most part and I think we're going to have a lot of fun. Oh yea, and I don't know if I mentioned anything but Lauren Forthofer ended up trying out for the one acts. I was sooo excited because I had no idea she had any interest in theatre. She ended up with a pretty decent sized role in our cast and I'm really excited to get to know her better. Especially since she's one of the only ones who I really don't talk too much in my TV class and I think this will definitely help me to get to know her better. I'm excited. So, our first rehearsal is the day we come back from break and I'm kinda nervous. I've never directed a one act before and I hope everything goes ok. I'm sure it will though, Mike and I will have fun together and my cast is amazing so I'm sure it will be ok. It always is. Well... let's see... what else is going on in my life at the moment... Oh yea, I got my Christmas present from Alison the other day. I was soo excited. I got a really awesome heart bracelet and some really cool underwear. And it's all even cooler cuz it's from Australia. I love Alison to bits and I miss her so much. I really wish she could have come home for Christmas. I wish she was home to take me to zoolights again like she did last year. P.S.- If anyone wants to go to zoolights with me sometime soon let me know because I would looove to go! Thanks. Soo... other than that I think that's pretty much it for my life at the moment. Other than my never-ending boy troubles but we're not going to get into that right now. Maybe some other time. Let's just say I'm really jealous cuz a lot of my friends have really cute boys that do really cute stuff for them and I always get stuck with the stubborn/confusing/kings of mixed signals. It's not fair, I wish I could catch a good one for once. :/ I need more wish-granting stars....
Anyway, that's it. I finally finished this entry after it deleting itself 2 times. ...stupid computer...
